About RPUMC

Who Are We?
The purpose of Roeland Park United Methodist Church is summarized in our Mission Statement:

Connecting people to Christ and Christ to people.

We exist to celebrate God’s presence through worship. We worship through singing, commitment, praying, studying God’s word, giving, baptism, the Lord’s Supper, and meditating.

Our Mission
Connecting people to Christ and Christ to people.

Our Vision
To become a visible community of Christ-like relationships, building a spiritual legacy of encouragement and hope for Roeland Park and the surrounding communities.

Our Stewardship Statement
As God’s stewards, we will support the mission and ministries of our church with our time, spiritual gifts, prayers and financial resources.

Our congregation began as a Sunday School class in 1911. Originally we were an Evangelical United Brethren Church. In 1968, we became a United Methodist Church. We are part of the Great Plains Conference.
